Boat trips: choose the atmosphere

A coastal cruise can combine views of the castle, caves and Cleopatra Beach with swimming stops and lunch. Compare the BBQ-and-drinks programme with the Starcraft daytime cruise, which focuses more on music and entertainment. The Starcraft disco night is a separate evening outing; check its timetable, drinks and age conditions.

A private yacht offers more flexibility for your group, within the captain’s route and weather decisions. Fishing trips focus on time with the crew and tackle rather than a guaranteed catch. For Suluada, allow for a long road transfer to Adrasan before boarding the boat; this is not a direct sailing from Alanya harbour.

Mountains, canyons and the countryside

Jeep safaris explore Taurus roads and villages; quad and buggy outings add a driving element. Expect dust, bumps and possible splashes. Ask about driver and passenger requirements, equipment and the route before booking. Horse riding and guided trekking offer different ways to see the countryside; choose a trail and pace suited to your experience.

Köprülü Canyon rafting is a full excursion with travel time from Alanya. Combination programmes add jeep safari and zipline, with Adler viewpoints in some versions. Confirm which activities your package includes and the participation rules for each.

Sapadere offers canyon walkways and waterfalls. Altınbeşik and Ormana combine a water cave with the village’s distinctive button houses; cave access and the boat visit depend on local operating conditions. Green Canyon is a reservoir cruise among mountains, while Manavgat programmes may combine the river, waterfall and bazaar. Check the market day and exact stops rather than assuming all three are included.

Alanya sights, parks and relaxation

A city tour can introduce the castle area, Red Tower and harbour, Cleopatra Beach, Damlataş Cave, cable car and viewpoints. Check the actual itinerary and whether cable-car and cave tickets are included. A hammam offers bathing, scrub, foam and massage options; compare the treatments and duration of your package.

Waterplanet, The Land of Legends theme park and Antalya Aquarium are different outings, with different transfer distances. Confirm current operation, included sections and ride age or height limits. Aquarium extras such as the snow area may need separate tickets. The Land of Legends evening parade is a separate programme from daytime park admission. Dolphin shows and optional swimming sessions also have distinct tickets and participation rules.

Shows and cultural evenings

Troy and Fire of Anatolia are dance productions; check the performance date and venue shown on your booking. Aspendos Arena and Aspendos Ancient Theatre are different venues. The Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival takes place at the ancient theatre on announced festival dates. Plan the evening transfer and return, as these performances are not in Alanya town.

Longer journeys: history beyond Alanya

Aspendos, Side and Manavgat Waterfall can be combined in a cultural outing. Check current monument access; a visit to Side does not necessarily include entry to every archaeological building. Kekova programmes involve a longer journey and a boat section, sometimes combined with Demre, Myra, St Nicholas Church or Simena/Kaleköy. Confirm the included stops and designated swimming places.

Pamukkale options include a long day trip, a route via Salda Lake and a two-day stay. Compare road time, accommodation, meals and admission to Hierapolis and the travertines. For the Antique Pool, check current bathing access and any separate payment. A Pamukkale balloon outing requires its own early-start transfer plan and weather clearance.

Two- and three-day Cappadocia tours provide different amounts of time for valleys, fairy chimneys, underground cities, Göreme and Uçhisar. Confirm the hotel type; a cave hotel and balloon flight are not automatic inclusions. The Istanbul day trip uses a flight from Antalya: verify the Alanya–airport connection, flight arrangements, sightseeing programme and return before committing.

Before you reserve

Confirm your hotel’s pickup point, total duration, guide language, meals, drinks, entrance fees and cancellation terms. Photo and video packages, optional activities and upgrades may cost extra. For rafting, diving, riding, quad, buggy, zipline, paragliding or ballooning, check age, health, mobility and equipment requirements directly with the operator. A beginner option still has participation limits.

Sea trips, swimming, paragliding and balloon flights depend on conditions. Check the forecast and operating decision, take suitable shoes and sun protection, and leave room in your holiday for changes. For diving, clarify the number of dives and instruction included; for tandem paragliding, ask about launch arrangements and photo extras.
