4-Day Tour: Istanbul to Cappadocia, Pamukkale, and Ephesus
This 4-day tour takes you on a journey from Istanbul to the mesmerizing landscapes of Cappadocia, the stunning travertine terraces of Pamukkale, and the historic ruins of Ephesus. Experience the natural beauty and rich history of Turkey's most iconic regions.
Arrival in Cappadocia and Exploration
Start your journey with an early pick-up from your hotel in Istanbul, followed by a transfer to Istanbul Airport and a flight to Kayseri. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to Cappadocia, where your adventure begins. The first day includes a walk through Devrent Valley to explore the Fairy Chimneys, followed by a visit to Paşabağ (Monks) Valley to see unique rock formations. In Avanos, try your hand at traditional pottery making using ancient techniques. Continue your exploration at Zelve Open-Air Museum, famous for its early frescoes, and visit Pigeon Valley and Petrified Valley in Uçhisar for panoramic views.
Cappadocia Exploration and Transfer to Pamukkale
On the second day, after breakfast, embark on your full-day Cappadocia tour. Visit Red Rose Valley and Çavuşin Village to see rock-cut dwellings. Explore the Underground City of Özkonak, used by early Christians to hide from persecution. After visiting Pigeon Valley, transfer to the bus station for your overnight bus ride to Pamukkale.
Pamukkale’s Natural Wonders
On arrival in Pamukkale (around 5:00 am), enjoy a transfer to your hotel for a short rest and breakfast. You’ll then embark on a full-day tour of Pamukkale, where you will visit the Pamukkale Travertine Terraces and soak in the natural beauty of the area. Explore the ruins of Hierapolis, including the Necropolis, and enjoy the warmth of the natural springs. You can also swim in the Ancient Pool (extra charge).
Ephesus and Artemis Temple
On the final day, visit the House of Virgin Mary, a significant religious site. Then, head to Ephesus to explore the ancient city, including the Celsus Library, Temple of Hadrian, Fountain of Trajan, and Theater. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Isa Bey Mosque, built in 1375 by the Anatolian Seljuks, and the Artemis Temple, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
In the afternoon, transfer to Izmir Airport for your flight back to Istanbul, followed by a transfer to your hotel.
