The Alanya City Tour from Side is a full-day excursion combining coastal sightseeing, a boat trip around the Alanya peninsula, free time near Damlataş Cave, lunch beside the Dim River and time in Alanya city centre. The day begins with the collection of guests from hotels in Side and the surrounding holiday areas. After the morning pickups are completed, the journey continues towards Alanya in a comfortable, air-conditioned tour vehicle. During the drive, guests can observe the coastal landscape between Side and Alanya, including holiday resorts, agricultural areas and views of the Mediterranean.

Arrival in Alanya and the Damlataş Area

One of the main stops takes place in the Damlataş and Cleopatra Beach area. Damlataş Cave is located close to the beach and the lower station of the Alanya cable car. The guide shows guests the location of the cave entrance and explains the available free-time options.

Guests who wish to see Damlataş Cave can enter independently during the allocated free time. A cave visit is optional and usually takes a relatively short time. Other guests may prefer to walk around the area, spend time near Cleopatra Beach or explore the surroundings.

Optional Cable Car Experience

The lower station of the Alanya cable car is located in the same area as Damlataş Cave. Guests who wish to use the cable car can do so as an optional activity during their free time.

The cable car is an independently operated attraction and is not a scheduled or organised part of the Vigo Tours program. Guests decide for themselves whether they would like to use it. Depending on queues and the available free time, visiting both Damlataş Cave and taking the cable car may require careful time management.

The tour does not include a separate journey to the top of Alanya Castle for a panoramic viewpoint stop. Alanya Castle is mainly seen from different locations around the city and from the sea during the boat trip.

Boat Trip Around the Alanya Peninsula

The coastal boat trip is one of the main parts of the Alanya city tour. The boat departs from the harbour and travels around the rocky peninsula on which Alanya Castle stands.

From the sea, guests can see the castle walls rising above the Mediterranean, the historic coastline and the cliffs surrounding the peninsula. The boat route also provides views of several natural caves and rocky formations along the Alanya coast.

Lunch is served at a restaurant beside the river. This stop provides a quieter break after the city and boat sections of the tour. Guests can sit by the water, have their meal and enjoy the greener surroundings of the Dim River valley.

The atmosphere, design and facilities of restaurants in the Dimçay area vary considerably. The restaurant used during the tour is selected as the designated lunch stop within the daily program.

Seasonal Swimming at the Dim River

During the summer season, guests may have an opportunity to swim or cool off in the Dim River while the group is at the restaurant. Swimming is entirely optional and depends on the weather, water conditions, restaurant facilities and the time available on the day.

The mountain-fed river is generally much colder than the Mediterranean Sea. Guests who may wish to enter the water can bring swimwear and a towel with them.

Free Time in Alanya City Centre

The program also includes free time in Alanya city centre and the bazaar area. During this period, guests can explore independently, walk through the shopping streets, look for souvenirs or spend time at a café.

This section of the tour allows visitors to experience the everyday atmosphere of Alanya at their own pace. The bazaar contains a variety of shops selling clothing, accessories, local products, gifts and other holiday items.

The amount of free time can vary according to traffic, weather conditions and the overall pace of the day. Guests are informed by the guide about the meeting point and departure time before beginning their independent visit.

Return Journey from Alanya to Side

At the end of the Alanya city-centre visit, guests meet the tour vehicle at the designated location. The return journey then begins, followed by drop-offs at hotels in Side and the surrounding areas.
