Saklıkent – Tlos – Yakapark Tour (Oludeniz / Fethiye)
(The order of places to visit in our tour may change)
The seductive view of Saklıkent Canyon, which is the first stop of our Saklıkent, Tlos and Yakapark full-day tour from Fethiye, will truly enchant you. Saklikent gorge canyon is known as the second longest gorge in Europe (18 km).
You can explore as much as you dare in the Saklıkent canyon, or you can sit back and relax in the typical wooden mansions by the river, enjoy yourself, or experience the pleasure of ringo rafting with boats in the ice-cold waters of the river. Beware, water is cold as ice!
And leaving Saklıkent behind, after a short journey, we will go to Yaka village, which is a natural habitat called Yakapark, to have our lunch where the trout farms are. Here, a wonderful green nature with small waterfalls on all sides will welcome you.
Yakapark is a protected nature park with its huge trees and pools. Here you can see trout farms, natural water gardens and enjoy a buffet lunch. The sound of small waterfalls rushing around and caressing the soul, and the cool air of this place will refresh you. Here is another world that you will love!
After a delicious lunch, we will leave Yakapark behind and set off for the ancient city of Tlos with our vehicles. In the ancient city of Tlos, one of the most important cities in Lycian history, you can visit the theater, the library and the castle walls with our tour guide, or you can prefer to relax while sipping your tea or coffee against this interesting view.
Tlos ancient city
The ancient city of Tlos, located within the borders of Yaka village of Seydikemer and 40 km away from Fethiye, is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List and is one of the oldest settlements in the Lycian region. The acropolis at the entrance of the ancient city, which is recorded as Dlawa in the Hittite documents of the 14th century BC and as Tlawa in the Lycian inscriptions, impresses those who see it with its nature-dominant appearance. Lycian rock tombs; bath, paleastra and gymnasion ruins are also interesting. The decorations depicting Bellerephontes fighting with his winged horse Pegasus make the tour in the ruins very interesting.
Tlos ancient city, Saklıkent gorge and Yaka village nature park (Yakapark)
This tour is a daily excursion from Fethiye, Hisarönü, Ölüdeniz and Ovacık, covering Saklıkent valley, ancient city of Tlos and Yakapark nature park. It is an approximately 8-hour tour.
After picking you up from your hotel, we will start our tour with a journey from Antalya's mountain road to Saklıkent Valley, which is 50 km away from Fethiye. On the way, we will visit the ruins of Tlos, a very important Lycian city whose settlement dates back to 3500 years ago.
Historians and archaeologists state that the ruined ancient city of Tlos was one of the most important religious cities of Lycia. The settlement of the city is on the hills, and in mythology it is believed that King Bellerophon lived in the ancient city of Tlos with his Flying Horse Pegasus. The king tomb of Bellerophon is located in the cemetery allocated to the Lycians.
After the mystical atmosphere of the intriguing ancient city of Tlos, we will head to a trout farm in Yaka village, a natural wonder surrounded by gardens with pools and traditional restaurants.
A trout or chicken lunch and a large salad and appetizer menu will be waiting for us here.
And the famous valley gorge! Saklıkent valley gorge is known as the second longest gorge in Europe. The 18 km long Saklıkent valley gorge canyon, formed by the melting snow waters from Akdağ for thousands of years, has wonderful natural landscapes that are worth seeing.
