The Aspendos international opera and ballet festival, which was first organized in 1994, is organized in September every year in the spectacular atmosphere of the 2000 year old Aspendos theater.
Performed in an extraordinary atmosphere, the opera and ballet festivals are watched annually by approximately 100 thousand art lovers from all over the Antalya region. The majority of these art audiences are foreign tourists who are on holiday in the Antalya region.
Aspendos international opera and ballet festival is organized by the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. And it is one of the most prestigious opera and ballet organizations in the world.
What makes Aspendos opera and ballet festival so prestigious worldwide is the undoubtedly outstanding acoustic quality of the 2000-year-old ancient Aspendos theater. Classical music sounds are heard at the same level and quality from all corners of the ancient theater. In addition, the world's leading art directors are also showing great interest in the Aspendos international opera and ballet festival.
The Aspendos festival is a member of the European Festivals Association. And the International Aspendos Opera and Ballet event is the first and only festival awarded the "Best Quality Management Certificate".

All the performances begin at 21:00
Seating : random seating. Seating sections included in the price: A2, B2, C2, D2, E2, F2, G2, H2, I2, J2, K2, L2, M2, N2, O2, P2, R2 and S2. All places are unnumbered.
Bring a small cushion for your convenience as the ancient place is outfitted with stone seating.

The pick-up was not professional, they were on time to collect us, but then there was a 25-minute delay at one of the hotels searching for guests. This meant that we arrived as the concert was starting and so only got seated after the first song.

Tour was fully booked. This was a Saturday performance and pickup was scheduled during prime traffic hours. The bus had to go from Konyaalti to downtown Old Town to pickup all riders. Due to traffic we were late getting to the performance and the orchestra was already warmed up. We and no time to pick a good seat, go to WC, take a look at the theater, get a refreshment, nothing. It was 2 1/2 hr from our pickup at 6:30pm to arrival at the ballet at 9:05pm. After the two hour performance we had to immediately get back to our bus to return to hotel at 2:00am. If performance is on a Saturday the tour should schedule pickup at least one hour sooner for a more enjoyable experience.

We booked the tickets already before our vacation. The communication was perfect. We got all information about meeting point (inkl. Google GPS) on time. The transfer was well organised. Friendly driver and Organisator. The Opera in Aspendos was an amazing event. We recommend Vigo tours.

We went to a classical music concert in the evening and it was amazing, the atmosphere was excellent, no microphone or electric speakers were used, but the sound carried everywhere.
