Taking a 3-day tour from Antalya city to Cappadocia offers a fantastic way to experience one of Turkey’s most captivating destinations. To ensure a smooth, enjoyable, and safe journey, here are the key points and guidelines to follow:
1. Travel Itinerary and Timing
- Day 1: Departure from Antalya hotels in the early morning to reach Cappadocia by around 13:00 - 14:00.

- Flights are weather-dependent, and the civil aviation office in Cappadocia grants flight approvals daily at 15:00. If conditions allow, balloon rides can be booked for the 2nd or 3rd day.
- Important: Booking a balloon ride through another company is not allowed if you’re on our tour.
- The tour guide follows the reservation process for the balloon tour.
3. Clothing and Footwear
Comfortable walking shoes are essential, as Cappadocia’s terrain includes rocky valleys, uneven paths, and underground city tours. Layers are recommended; Cappadocia’s climate can vary from hot during the day to cool in the evenings, especially in caves or underground areas.
4. Photography and Respect for Sites
Photography is welcomed at most locations, but respect is key, particularly in areas of religious or historical significance, such as cave churches. Drones may not be allowed in certain areas, so please check with your tour guide about specific photography guidelines.
5. Local Currency and Meals
- While some places accept credit cards, it’s advised to carry Turkish Lira (TRY) for small purchases, souvenirs, and meals in local eateries.
- Turkish cuisine is part of the experience; you’ll have the chance to try authentic dishes in local restaurants, so bring an adventurous appetite!
6. Health and Safety
- Some locations, such as the underground cities, may not be suitable for those with claustrophobia or mobility issues. Your guide will provide advice on tour accessibility.
- Ensure you bring any necessary medications, especially for potential motion sickness if you’re sensitive to winding roads.
By keeping these guidelines in mind, you’ll make the most of your 3-day Cappadocia tour from Antalya and fully enjoy this unique, historical adventure!

Excellent trip, just the long way driven . Maybe driving one way by night with just to stops and the come back way by day!! But it was very nice and Beautiful! Thank you!
Reply from Vigo Tours: Thank you very much for your review!
Cappadocia is a long way, yes, and unfortunately it is not a tour that can be done in one day, even by plane. To explore a large region such as Cappadocia with many beautiful corners to explore, you should stay there for at least 3 days. Best regards, Team Vigo Tours
